Jumbled brain

Time to sort my shit out again

No sense of navigation

Like a boat at sea

Don’t want to drift along

Aimlessly

Be sucked into a vortex

Of nothingness

Like going down the plug hole

Still want some direction

And lead a purposeful life

Just at my pace

Having the luxury of

Time and space

To feel my way

Into this new chapter

Perhaps my final

I don’t want to fester

Slip away unnoticed

Go out with a bang!

Leave a footprint

On people’s hearts

Let my words carry forever

For better or for worse.

This retired life is a blessing

Not a curse

Pressure relieved

Of financial demands

Other’s agendas

Shitty nappies

Unhappy relationships

Freedom to be me

To achieve or not

If I can be bothered.
